Hammerite Metalmaster really couldn't be any easier to use. Simply insert the Hammerite Metal paint canister into the battery operated Hammerite Metalmaster paint gun, then attach the earthing clip to the object that you are painting to enable the electrostatic charge to flow, prior to using this revolutionary new tool.

Preparation

IMPORTANT - For best results, prepare the entire surface to be painted in advance and do the job in one go.

• Abrade smooth surfaces and remove all loose rust and flaking paint with a wire brush.
• Remove dirt, dust and grease with white spirit or diluted detergent, then rinse with clean water and allow time to dry.
• On bare zinc, aluminium and galvanised surfaces apply Hammerite Special Metals Primer before applying Hammerite Metal Paint. No need to prime ferrous metals.
• Hammerite Metalmaster produces low overspray, but before spraying, mask off areas such as windows, window frames, doors, pipes, patios, plants etc. to protect them from overspray, including surrounding property. All metal items that are not to be painted must be removed from the work area or protected.

Application

IMPORTANT - Refer to the Instruction Manual before use (see below).

• Store canister at room temperature for two hours prior to use..
• Shake the canister for one minute before use.
• Insert canister into Hammerite Metalmaster Electrostatic Paint Gun and earth.
• Hold the Hammerite Metalmaster Electrostatic Paint Gun approximately 15cm (6 inches) away from target, press the trigger release and trigger to activate paint flow.
• Do not concentrate spray in one spot, the applicator should be moved side to side in a smooth gentle sweeping motion until the paint covers the surface.
• Do not over-apply as sagging may occur.
• If taking a break during application, seal the nozzle with aluminium foil and replace the nozzle cap. This will avoid the nozzle drying out for up to 24 hours. See Instruction Manual (below) for more details.

Cleaning & Storage

• Remove as much paint as possible from Hammerite Metalmaster Electrostatic Paint Gun nozzle and aperture with white spirit before storage.
• Store in a dry well ventilated area and protect from frost and strong sunlight.
